Codes and Secrets Always catch Pokemon When throwing a Pokeball at a Pokemon, hold up and B at the same time the Pokeball opens. It takes a little practice, but once you get it working, you will be able to catch Pokemon without much trouble. I've caught Zapdos and Articuno with this trick! The below codes are courtesy of Howard Avery [[email protected]] To get 999 of any item follow these steps: 1) Set the item you want 999 of to the sixth place from the top in your list. 2) Talk to the old man in Viridian City that asks you if you're in a hurry. 3) Say 'no' and watch him catch a Weedle. 4) Then FLY to Fuchsia City and go south toward the sea. 5) SURF to Seafoam Islands and move up and down along the small strip of land on the east side. 6) When you are attacked by a pokemon called 'Missingno.' run away. You will then have 999 of the item you put to the sixth slot. (Missingno. will appear as a scrambled mess). After you have run from Missingno. you can catch Missingno. To catch the Safari Zone pokemon outside Safari Zone, follow these steps: 1) Enter the Safari Zone and go to the area with the pokemon you wish to catch. 2) Run around until your time runs out. (If you are attacked, it doesn't matter). 3) Then head south toward the sea. And SURF to Seafoam Islands. *** if you are attacked by a trainer, you'll have to do this all again.*** 4) Swim along the same strip of land as in the 999 items cheat. 5) You can catch all the pokemon that you want and you can weaken them first! The below code comes to you from Davidius [[email protected]] Here's another code: 1 Get a rare candy (or any item) 2. Put it as the 6th item on your list 3. Talk to the man in Viridian city, and let him catch his weedle for you 4. Then go to Fushia City and surf to seafoam. 5. When you get to seafoam, hold a while surfing the closest you can to the island, and when you run inot a pokemon called "M' ", run away from it. 6. YOU WILL HAVE INFINITE OF THAT ITEM GS codes Anthrax-01e364d1 Psybird-01e164d1 Millenium-01F564D1 Locustod-01e464d1 Rainer-01c164d1 Spooky-01f164d1 Raticlaw-01ed64d1 Pokemaniac-01c264d1 Sapusaur-01e364d1 Charcolt-01e264d1 Anthrax-01e364d1 Sapusaur-01e364d1 Beepin-01f464d1 Fill in the xx with the code of the item. 01xx7ccf Items List 01 Master Ball 02 Ultra Ball 03 Great Ball 04 Pokiball 05 Town map 06 Bike 07 Surf without Pokimon 08 Safari Ball 09 Pokidex 0A Moon Stone 0B Antidote 0C Burn Heal 0d Ice Heal 0F Parlyz Heal 10 Full Restore 11 Max Potion 12 Hyper Potion 13 Super Potion 14 Potion 15 Boulder Badge 16 Cascade Badge 17 Thunder Badge 18 Rainbow Badge 19 Soul Badge 1A Marsh Badge 1B Volcano Badge 1C Earth Badge 1d Escape Rope 1E Repel 1F Old Amber 20 Fire Stone 21 Thunder Stone 22 Water Stone 23 HP UP 24 Protein 25 Iron 26 Carbos 27 Calcium 28 Rare Candy 29 Dome Fossil 2A Helix Fossil 2B Secret Key 2D Bike Voucher 2E X Accuracy 2F Leaf Stone 3A Dire Hit 3B Coin 3C Fresh Water 3D Soda Pop 3E Lemonade 3F S.S Ticket 30 Card Key 31 Nugget 32 PP Up 33 Pokidoll 34 Full Heal 35 Revive 36 Max Revive 37 Guard Spec 38 Super Repel 39 Max Repel 40 Gold Teeth 41 X Attack 42 X Defend 43 X Speed 44 X Special 45 Coin Case 46 Oak's Parcel 47 Item Finder 48 Silph Scope 49 Poki Flute 4A Lift Key 4B Exp. Pokemon Gold/Silver Pokemon sold over 8 million cartridges sequel was going to be made. Nintendo announced Pokemon Gold and Silver a in Japan and it was obvious that a while ago but I haven't gotten around to writing a preview. Pokemon Gold/Silver is one of the most highly anticipated games of all time. There are many improvements to Pokemon Gold/Silver, also known as Pokemon 2. New Pokemon I believe there are 266 different Pokemon, mostly all original ones. Pokemon have different genders (male and female, obviously) and you can breed Pokemon. You can even crossbreed some Pokemon to make new Pokemon! Some Pokemon are nocturnal (active at night) and others are diurnal (active during the day). This means that time will change like in Zelda 64. You will probably need two teams, one for day and one for night. And of course there will be new abilities (over 200!) but there is no info on what they will be. The Pokedex will be upgraded but I don't know how. Other New Stuff You can play as either a boy (Ash) or a girl (maybe Misty?). There is the bike from the original game and a new skateboard that lets you go to places not accessible with the bike. Drawbacks Well there aren't many drawbacks (after all, it is a new Pokemon game, how bad could it be?) but the worst thing is that you can't SEND Pokemon from Gold/Silver to Pokemon Green/Blue/Red/Yellow but you can RECEIVE Pokemon from Pokemon Green/Blue/Red/Yellow to Pokemon Gold/Silver. Release Date The game should be out in Spring 1999. Of course, Nintendo is famous for its delays so be prepared for a possible Summer release Pikachu (Yellow) Pikachu (Yellow) FAQ PokiGB You start the game off with Pikachu instead of getting to choose from Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. From that point on, Pikachu will follow Ash around on the screen just like in the anime. "Movie" sequences were added showing Pikachu doing a variety of things from surfing to sleeping. Gary starts the game with an added edge, though, by getting an Eevee. As you progress through the game, you will meet familiar faces such as Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny, and so on. There are other small changes in the game, but none of them compare to the looks of the Pokimon. Pokimon's 4th version of the game to date, Pokimon Pikachu, has sold well over 1.5 million copies since its release in Japan. Including a number of graphical improvements over the Red and Green versions and a tweak in the story-line, this game has undoubtedly become an incredible success. Nintendo listened to the people and made the story-line follow closer to that of the popular anime series.
